Jenis Bahan- Bahan Kaos

Bahan atau jenis kain yang biasa digunakan untuk kaos diantaranya :

1. Bahan Katun (Cotton)
   Bahan katun merupakan bahan yang paling bagus (baik) jika digunakan untuk kaos. Bahan ini merupakan 100% katun murni tanpa campuran bahan lain. Bahan katun biasanya diaplikasikan untuk kaos distro, promosi, event, komunitas, kelas, dll. Bahan katun sendiri memiliki dua jenis, yaitu double knitt (...d )dan single knitt (... s ).
   Bahan katun murni (100% Cotton) dibagi menjadi :
   - Cotton Combed (Lebih halus permukaannya)
   - Cotton Carded (Lebih kasar permukaannya jika dibanding combed)
2. Bahan TC (Teteron Cotton)
   Bahan Teteron Cotton atau yang lebih dikenal orang dengan sebutan TC, merupakan jenis bahan yang memiliki tingkatan dibawah katun. Jenis bahan ini juga termasuk katun, tetapi tidak murni 100%. Bahan kaos ini termasuk bahan yang tebal, sehingga biasa digunakan untuk kaos promosi, kaos family gathering, seragam kerja, kaos event, dll.
3. Bahan PE (Polyester)
   Bahan PE biasanya digunakan sebagai solusi untuk kebutuhan kaos dengan budget yang minim, tetapi ingin tetap mendapatkan kaos yang tidak terlalu tipis (masih layak kualitasnya). Bahan kaos PE memang tidak merupakan katun seperti TC. Bahan ini terbuat dari serat plastik polyester. Bahan ini biasa diaplikasikan untuk kaos partai, kaos pilkada, kaos promosi, kaos event, kaos family gathering, kaos souvenir, dll. Bahan PE dibagi menjadi PE single dan PE double (ketebalannya hampir setara TC).
4. Bahan Hyget
   Bahan hyget biasa digunakan untuk kaos partai dan kaos bola. Bahan jenis ini merupakan bahan yang termurah diantara bahan-bahan kaos. Bahannya mengkilat dan tidak menyerap keringat saat digunakan. Bahan hyget sendiri dibagi menjadi hyget tipis, hyget sedang, dan hyget tebal. Hyget tipis biasa digunakan untuk kaos partai, pilkada, dan kampanye. Hyget sedang biasa digunakan untuk kaos promosi, kaos event, kaos tour, kaos bola, dll. Sedangkan hyget tebal merupakan bahan yang bisa didapat dengan budget murah tetapi tetap berkualitas. Hyget tebal biasa digunakan untuk promosi, event, family gathering, souvenir, bola atau futsal, dll.
5. Bahan Lacoste
   Kata "Lacoste" diambil dari sebuah brand kaos kerah merk "Lacoste" (gambar buaya). Bahan lacoste ini biasanya digunakan untuk kaos polo atau kaos kerah. Bahan ini memiliki permukaan yang bolong-bolong (jahitannya). Bahan lacoste sendiri memiliki harga yang relatif mahal jika dibandingkan bahan kaos. Biasanya bahan lacoste dipadukan dengan bordiran bukan sablon. Bahan lacoste terbagi menjadi lacoste PE, lacoste pique, lacoste cvc, lacoste cotton.
   Bahan lacoste biasa digunakan untuk kaos kerah atau polo shirt.
